Overview
The most formable of all precipitation-hardening stainless and provides high strength and hardness. The valuable mechanical properties of 17-7 stainless sheet makes it particularly well suited for aerospace applications as well as its low distortion in heat treatment makes it a common choice for intricate parts. Typically used in aerospace parts, chemical processing equipment, springs, washers, heat exchangers, power boilers, and other high temperature applications.
