Nylon
Nylon Product Guide
Applications | Mechanical Data
Overview
Nylon is a strong, stiff engineering thermoplastic with exceptional bearing and wear properties. It is commonly used to replace metal bearings and bushings often eliminating the need for external lubrication which make it a high-performing alternative to metal parts and assemblies. Nylon also offers ease of machining and fabrication, good chemical resistance, fatigue resistance, mechanical stability, and impact resistance. Nylon is typically used for automotive components, manifolds, business machines, nozzles, sprockets, and industrial equipment.
